Next Tuesday, the 23rd, the Goodtimes Chorus will not have a formal rehearsal.
Instead, we will sing for the Arlington City Council in a belated observation of Barbershop Quartet Day.
Then we will take a few photographs around City Hall and maybe the Leavitt Pavilion.
Then we will go to Gilligan’s outdoor patio for dinner and some more singing. You are all invited to come.
Our next major event will be
Our Spring Show, June 1st!
The Goodtimes Chorus is now open to women!
Welcome to the Goodtimes Chorus website. The Goodtimes Chorus (GTC) is an a cappella chorus based in Arlington, Texas. We are a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), formerly known as the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A., in the highly competitive Southwest District of Champions. We've been around for many years, spreading four-part harmony and good times in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
We have won many awards through the years, and we focus on improving our chorus each year. It's both lots of fun and lots of hard work, as we strive to be the best we can be.
We welcome people who like to sing. It is not necessary to have a wonderful voice (although that would be nice) or to have years of choral experience. You should be enthusiastic and able to carry a tune and sing in the voice ranges of the TTBB arrangements we use. We meet each Tuesday evening at Epworth United Methodist Church, Arlington, TX. We are fortunate to have a Director and Music Team who all bring a great sense of humor, energy, and knowledge to every rehearsal. See the About menu to contact us for more information.
